
Following a rigorous selection process involving over 100 applicants Whippendell have been selected to take part in the Defence Supplier Capability Development Programme (DSCDP) run by Grant Thornton on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.
Our participation in the DSCDP programme demonstrates our strong technical foundation, innovation, and commitment to growth within the UK defence sector.
The DSCDP programme Director at Grant Thornton, Duncan Levesley said “we are really looking forward to working closely with the Whippendell Marine team to deliver up to £200,000 of tailored business improvement support and help them to strengthen their strategic position and contribution to the UK’s defence supply chain”.
The programme is supported by the MoD and Defence Office for Small Business Growth (DOSBG) a newly formed office as part the UK government’s 2025 Strategic Defence Review and Defence Industrial Strategy 2025, which commit to increasing defence spending with SMEs by £2.5bn and positioning the sector as a driver of economic growth.
